We are very proud to offer the highest quality and service in the industry. We also offer the best quality and ingenuity in cabinet making and carpentry to enhance or add to your existing cabinets at a fraction of the price of replacing or refacing your kitchen.
It is crucial that the client comes to understand the process and what is the industry standard for properly refinishing kitchen cabinets and furniture.
Proper preparation and application is essential for a beautiful, durable and long-lasting finish. We use only top-of-the-line products and materials and take pride in providing each client with quality and excellence.
The following outlines the typical process we follow in refinishing cabinets and furniture. Other specialty finishes may require additional steps. Included in the price is color consultation, design and up to (2) samples to clients satisfaction. Additional charges may apply for additional samples, (Cost of materials for samples not included), additional labor such as filling and drilling holes for new pulls, replacing hinges etc. may apply.
The following outlines our basic process:
Basic Process: (10 step)
**Note: Refinishing of all removable items such as doors, drawers, etc. will be done offsite. This process takes an average of 1-2 weeks.
Step 1. Remove and number doors, drawers, shelving*
*Please note that all removable items are sprayed and finished offsite.
Step 2 . Extensive prep of surfaces to be finished. (may incl. light sanding, degreasing, vacuum-tack)
Step 3. Caulking, including doors front and back (if needed)
Step 4. Preparation of spray area:
Cover all surfaces including floors, countertops, etc.
Step 5. Coat #1- Spray (2nd coat if needed)
Step 6. Sand and Vacuum-tack (If needed)
Step 7. Coat #2- Spray first finish coat (2nd coat if needed)
Step 8. Coat #3 Faux Finish Phase (May include multiple layers depending on finish)
Step 9. Coat #4 (Variable)….3 coats of polyurethane will be applied. If an oil-based basecoat is used, or another surface that does not require a sealer, this step will only be done by request. Additional charges may apply.
Step10 Install and balance doors, drawers, shelving, etc.
Basic Costs:
Base cost is depends on desired finish, detail and condition of cabinetry. Other additions apply for added detail, panels, new doors (if desired), crown molding, etc.. Cost quoted includes the above process from design, prep, prime, basecoat, decorative finish and sealing.
