This client wanted to update their oak kitchen to give it a brighter and more open look. They are selling the house and decided that an updated kitchen would help them sell for maximum value. They updated their beige corian countertops to a beautiful creamy granite, changed out their black appliances for stainless steel, and added a soft off white tumbled travertine backsplash. To achieve the cabinet look, we thoroughly cleaned and sanded the existing doors and frames and painted them with Benjamin Moore Classic Grey. This primer and paint was spray on to create a smooth, flawless finish. On top of that we added a subtle glaze to bring out the detail and architectural features. In this case, having a white colored paint, the glaze really softens the cabinets and gives them a custom feel. We finished the process by adding 3 coats of sealer for durability. This step is always essential for cabinets because they get so much wear and tear. Just look how much more light this transformation added to this spacious kitchen!
