When you look at the before pictures of this space, you might not imagine a room with corrugated metal walls and repurposed cabinetry could be turned into a very cozy but elegant and darn right cool space. It was the homeowner’s collaborative vision and a great eye for artwork, special pieces that made this a one of a kind space!
The kitchen cabinetry was repurposed from a previous space…..applied molding was added to all of the doors to enhance the profile and detail. A European, distressed and glazed finish adorns the cabinets. The cabinet designer also took special antique fragments that the homeowner found and made custom cornices for the windows and over the sink area. Sometimes it takes vision and confidence that a space will turn out as fabulous as you can imagine! This was a very unique and challenging space!
The island was finished with a charcoal distressed technique and antique metal corbels were added for that final touch. This space called for a piece that would anchor the space.
