Oak Cabinet Make Over
Many clients fear their dated, yellowing oak cabinetry cannot be salvaged. Not to fear! Although the impression of the grain is still present, this type of beautiful, solid wood cabinetry finishes up amazingly! This particular client chose to update only their doors with a higher quality oak door. We added detail with applied moldings and enhancements to their existing cabinets. The kitchen was finished with a very subtle European Glazed technique using Benjamin Moore Creamy White and a soft, subtle taupe glaze. Beautiful new hardware was added for the final touch.
Changing out your doors with updated styles, adding applied molding, crown and new counter tops and backsplash is a great way to remodel your kitchen for a fraction of the price of a complete tear out or even refacing. Ask about our options!
With the proper preparation you can paint any surface. With the use of special bonding primers, even laminate surfaces can be painted. Just envision a plain white, laminate cabinet and with an application of various paint techniques, it can be changed to look like an old, barnwood piece or limestone. There are also paints and different chemicals that can create patina finishes like rust copper or bronze. There are also products that can create different types of crackled finishes. Anything is possible!
